(EDITOR’S NOTE: I applaud 3ABN’s use of satellite technology for evangelism and ministry for the church. I am glad to see this statement clarifying where they stand on the issue of the Ten Commandments Day and their participation in this historic event.)
“3ABN supports and upholds the Seventh-day Adventist theology of separation of church and state, and agrees with the church’s religious liberty department. We do not, in any manner, support the agenda of the Ten Commandment Commission. Moreover, we are opposed to the Constitution Restoration Act. Still, we are thankful to hear the faith community promoting God’s Law as eternal—their proclamation sets the stage for us to deliver Bible doctrines upheld by the Seventh-day Adventist church.
Our purpose in hosting the Ten Commandments Weekend in Washington, DC, is to take advantage of the unique dynamics that have been set in motion by the faith community. While so many eyes are riveted on God’s Ten Commandments, we will proactively promote the truth of the eternal nature of God’s Commandments, with a special focus on the seventh-day Sabbath. We will not protest Supreme Court and lower court decisions. Our plan is to teach the truth boldly, with love.
Our 17-hour live broadcast is scheduled during Sabbath hours, Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th. This broadcast will then be re-aired on Sunday, to capture increased attention of the focus on God’s truths about the Ten Commandments.” - - www.3abn.org
