Over the next few days you will see some major changes here on the Abundant Rest blog site. I am in the process of integrating The Historic Adventist Podcast back into the main blog site, and will be changing the look and feel of the site to shift towards our new emphasis.
Research is showing that the wave of the future online will be Vlogs and Podcasts, and that is the direction we want to head as well. We will also have our new email newsletter available via the Aweber Communications services. This will enable us to track emails better, as well as produce special outreach tools, such as an online Bible study, etc. Our newsletter will feature breaking end-time news and special reports exclusively for the mailing list, so you will want to be sure and sign up for that as well.
As always, I’m open for feedback on the site. If you like the changes that you see, or you have suggestion on how to improve the site, please feel free to let me know!

I missed the first meeting of the day because of connectivity problems here at my location. Now, by providence, the second meeting is starting late. It appears that Al Silva was not able to make it, so John VanDenburgh is stepping up and filling the gap, presenting an exegesis of Colossians 2.
An interesting note that I was not aware of: this passage was one of the keys to the split in the Church of God and led the primary group to drop the observance of the Sabbath.
More to come …

Ralph Myers is now up to present part 2 of his message on the number 666. Right now he’s talking about how he determined the counts of the Popes … and how he determined which ones were anti-popes, etc.

OK folks, I’ve got the special that I promised earlier ready for you! I have uploaded a special podcast of Gerald Otterstrom’s presentation from earlier today onto the Historic Adventist Podcast site. This recording isn’t the best quality, but you will be able to hear the message as given earlier. In fact, this file is set up so you can either download it or listen to it directly online … EVEN if you have DIAL-UP. So, go there now and check it out:
Answering the Critics

OK, Bro. Otterstrom just finished up with his list of answers to the critics. They are breaking for the evening meal at the camp meeting, and I am in the progress of working up something very special for my readers!
Stay tuned for more in just a few …
PS - It was noted during the final announcements before dinner that a man of “great controversy” was on the grounds. It seems that Brother Fine has arrived at the camp meeting. He is scheduled to give a couple of presentations later this week. Reportedly he has come from attending some secretive and clandestine meetings with the Pope and protestant denominational leaders. We shall look forward to what he has to say!

In a change from the actual printed schedule, and running late, Geral Otterstrom is presenting MORE information on how to answer the critics! I am taking notes and will try to put something special together shortly after the message is completed.
So far this is very good stuff!!! I like this guy … more later …

Bro. Archbald returns again today to present a message on the Latter Rain, the Shaking, and the Sealing. I missed the first half of the message but was able to listen in on the last half.
He brings out several passages from the SOP that indicate a great shaking to take place inside the church. Some of the passages are applied by most leadership to apply to the nominal churches that have not accepted the Sabbath, but Archbald challenges this.
I have taken some notes, and will try to transcribe them later.

Just a quick note as I turn in for the evening…
The evening session ended with a nice musical message by Cheri Hall entitled “A Mother’s Prayer and Plea”. Most of the music has come through a bit garbled because of the volume from the piano, etc.; the webcam just can’t handle it. However, this number was a bit softer as it was played on the guitar and was just wonderful.
Hugo Gambetta spoke again after the dinner break, but I was unable to listen in because of connection issues on my end. I am still hoping to hear him speak before the week is out.
Tomorrow morning there will be no live blogging of the morning meetings because I will be at a meeting of our own! We are meeting with a small group locally that is conducting a study regarding the feast days, so keep us in your prayers. Live blogging will resume for the afternoon session which starts at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
Until then … keep your eyes on Jesus, for He truly is the Passover lamb.

Gerald Otterstrom has begun his presentation on how to answer the critics regarding observance of the feast days.
Initially he is presenting reasons to even answer the critics at all. Basically be ready to give an answer, etc.
Common question: “Didn’t all types and shadows finish at the cross?” Colossians 2, nailed what to the cross? Paul says to not let anyone judge us in observance of holy days, sabbaths, etc. … because they are a shadow of things yet to come!
More to come as this presentation continues …
